Cucchi III CLICK HERE FOR THE LATEST EDITION OF THE TITAN VOICE Good afternoon Titan community, Good afternoon Titan community, Spring is here and this spring weather we are getting has been wonderful! Parents, this is a great time to remind your child about making good decisions and positive choices. As we get ready to celebrate the Class of 2024 seniors, and the underclassmen moving up, we do not want this exciting time to be marred by tragedy. Reminder for students to put down those phones while driving, do not put any harmful substance in their body that is going to harm us or impair decisions, and show up to school on time. We need our kids to continue making those positive decisions that will take them and us forward. We want this spring to be a celebration not a tragedy. Please have that conversation with your student and know that we are having similar conversations here. Students are getting anxious and excited about the end of the school year. Please remind them that the school day starts at 7:20 a.m. Students are expected to be in their classrooms at this time. Being late and/or having excessive absences (more than 10) could result in lost credit and/or loss of their parking pass privileges. Teacher Appreciation week was May 6-10. I would like to take a moment to recognize the Stevenson Teachers. We simply have the best of the best! Thank you teachers for making Stevenson a great school! 2024-2025 Parking Pass Information Our attendance pilot program began last week, and it seems to be going well. Now until May 31, 2024, we are initiating an attendance pilot program that is tied to student parking for the next school year (2024-2025). We hope this encourages student attendance and punctuality as we finish this school year. All CURRENT 10 th (Class of ’26) and 11 th (Class of ’25) grade students, who have accumulated 5 or more tardies and/or Unexcused absences, will not receive their parking permit for the 1 st five weeks of the 2024-25 school year (October 1 st 2024). At that point, with responsible attendance, parking will be reevaluated for the school year. In addition, outstanding fees must be paid in full to be eligible for a parking permit. (Contact Remi Darroch, Bookkeeper, at remi.darroch@uticak12.org , 586-797-1903 for questions about your students fines.) *Please encourage your Stevenson student to arrive on time and finish the current school year strong as we attempt to support and encourage good habits moving towards the next school year. 2024-2025 Parking Permits - We will be accepting parking permit applications from next year’s seniors (class of 2025) beginning on June 3, they are $50. Students who already have a parking permit this year can turn in their old permit for a $5.00 discount on the new permit. You can find the Parking Permit Application on the Stevenson website: Stevenson High School on May 31. Please print it and bring copies of all required documents to Mrs. Bartold in the main office. Important – please see above regarding how students attendance and outstanding fines will affect whether or not your student will receive parking passes next year. Senior Dates : May 13 – Senior Honor’s Night (Invite Only) May 22 - Full day of school - Senior exams 4 th , 5 th, and 6 th hours May 23 – Full day of school – Senior exams 2 nd and 3 rd hour May 24 – Half Day for Seniors - 1 st hour Senior exam – Laptop collection during English classes Senior Picnic - Seniors are dismissed at 10:20am and can either go to the Senior Picnic or leave the campus- Senior Picnic ends at 12:00pm May 29 – Senior Prom, Time: 6:00pm – 10:00pm @ Penna’s June 3 - Graduation Rehearsal – 11:00am at Oakland University - (must arrive at 10:30am to line up) This is MANDATORY if you want to walk at the graduation ceremony. June 9 - Graduation, 4:30pm at Oakland University - students arrive by 3:30 June 9 – Senior All Night Party Seniors – Any fines must be paid PRIOR to purchasing Prom tickets and/or Graduation Laptop Collection for Seniors Seniors will turn in their UCS laptops during their English classes. All UCS laptops have a computer name label on the cover in the bottom right corner, (i.e., 47-OTO-SL0776) *Laptops will be assessed for damages, any fees related to damage are due prior to receiving your Graduation tickets.
